With more than 35 years of hands-on industry experience, there isn’t much that Les hasn’t seen – or lifted – in his time.

Originally starting his career as a dogger before working his way up to a Class One Rigger, Les’s dedication to his work saw him specialise in operating mobile cranes for more than 28 years, working with machinery as large as 450 tonnes.

As Sales Supervisor for Two Way Cranes, Les’s intimate knowledge of the entire fleet is particularly invaluable for new clients.

His level of expertise and on-site practical experience means Les can predict the needs of any job and match the right crane accordingly, no matter how unique or intricate the situation might be.

“I really enjoy the variety that each new day and each new job bring, especially meeting new clients.

I take the time to understand what makes their situation so different – be it a delicate movie set, complicated sand dunes or a busy construction site with a pressing deadline – so I can allocate the right crane for their job.”

Always remaining calm under pressure, Les is passionate about putting the time and effort into getting the job done right for this close-knit family run business. And ‘Team Two Way’ is a family business for Les as well, with two of his sons now working alongside him.

It really is about far more than just earning a paycheque for this industry veteran who understands more than most the value of going the extra mile. This is one of the key reasons he’s found such a comfortable home working with Frank and Two Way Cranes.
