Brad Troy

Project Manager

Brad grew up surrounded by cranes. His parents operated a crane business on the NSW central coast, where Brad cut his teeth operating a 50-tonne crane when he was just 18 years old. When his parents retired, Brad continued working in the industry, gaining invaluable experience and exposure with a number of crane companies across Australia.

Working in the mining sector in WA right through to the Hunter Valley on large scale projects for BHP and Rio Tinto along the journey, he has also found himself working on city sites and domestic projects that have all sharpened his knowledge, expertise and understanding of layered and complex issues that require expert project management. Organisation, communication and teamwork are the three pillars from which Brad runs his daily routine.

“I get a great deal of satisfaction solving problems for our clients. I have an amazing and highly experienced team around me that I can plug into whenever I need assistance or another way of approaching a complex project. At Two Way Cranes, everybody is on the same page, putting the client’s needs first. This is such a refreshing way to work,” says Brad.

Brad’s experience working hands-on across a fleet of cranes gives him invaluable insights when creating a scope of work for a client. His knowledge of Two Way Cranes’ fleet and the capabilities of the fleet enables Brad to proffer the very best advice and solution for each client’s needs. Whether the job requires a crane for a tight and limited space within a suburban environment, or is for large scale heavy industry where height limits and other unforeseen complexities influence the project, Brad has a keen eye for detail and an intuitive understanding of ‘best fit’ outcomes.

“As a project manager, each day brings new and exciting challenges. I may be visiting with a new client working through the ideal solution in the morning, followed by a site visit to check on the progress of a job, to meeting with CASA about air space restrictions and then checking in with a suburban council to get a pool craned into a lucky family’s backyard,” he says.

Two Way Cranes’ fleet of cranes and experienced operators mean no job is too big or too small. Offering services for anything that needs lifting and moving, we are focused on safety and exceeding expectations. Brad places a high value on his team, and tapping into the expertise of his colleagues is a major contributing factor to his job satisfaction. Being able to develop his career into management has seen Brad reignite his passion for the industry and have a platform to showcase his experience and expertise in this dynamic and fluid industry.

“Having the opportunity to work in project management with such a supportive and collaborative team with outstanding industry credentials is highly motivating. The culture here pushes me to continue learning and to strive for improvement across all areas of my working and personal life,” says Brad.

Outside of work, Brad loves exploring the south coast of NSW with his partner and fur baby.
